Welcome

Welcome to the inaugural post here at the official site of the Sisterhood of Saint Olga Society.

We are open to ladies and honorary gentlemen who admire and aspire to the greatness of Saint Olga of Kiev Equal-to-the-Apostles. It should be noted that we have no religious affiliation but simply aspire to the tenacity and determination of our namesake. The Sisterhood is brand new and has been created spontaneously by a dynamic group of talented people from around the world. Our impetus came from the story of Saint Olga's fascinating life. If you are curious about that, you can start here.

More to come soon but, if you are interested in joining the Sisterhood, please follow us at this blog.

  1. Well, I'm not a lady, so I guess that makes me an honorary gentleman, Pauline?

Congratulations on your latest adventure in the blogesphere...

  3. By the way, one of my aunts reminded me that my grandfather's sister was named after Olga! She'd always celebrate July 11 as her "name day."

I can't even begin to say how much that explains about my family.

  4. The more I learn about your family, the more I want to meet (and drink with) them :)

  5. Now that would be fun. To understand why stories like St. Olga's so resonate with me, you have to know that I was raised by a household exclusively of women. Very, very tough, indomitable, take-no-nonsense type of women. So, when I read about her, I find myself thinking, "My grandma!"
